Assessments for children from Reception to Year 6

 

If you have concerns about your child’s progress at school or any general concerns about their learning, then we offer academic assessments for all  children from 5 years to 11 years old. All our assessments allow us to test a child’s ability against the rest of their cohort nationally as well as providing an excellent opportunity to gauge their potential and find out more about their individual learning style. These tests are specifically tailored to the relevant age group and provide a clear indication of the level your child is working at as well as key information about your child’s strengths and weaknesses. Through the course of the assessment we take the time to get to know each child to see how we can best support their emotional and academic wellbeing throughout.

 

Academic assessment for 7+ and 11+ admissions

 

Our 7+ and 11+ assessments measure your child’s suitability for specific entrance exams for selective schools. We will advise and recommend potential schools and work with you as a family through the entire process including final choices and advice as to how to best support your child throughout this rigorous and stressful journey.  Understanding your child’s character and nature is vital to help match your child to the right learning environment and style. This will  help us identify which future schools would be the best fit. Our aim is to help you and your child to minimise anxiety and have a positive experience that will enable your child to approach the exams with confidence.

Before embarking on the highly selective journey, it is essential for your child to have an academic assessment.   7 + and 11+ entrance exams have become  extremely competitive  and require a high level of commitment from our families. We are always aware of the increasing pressure that our children are under which has led to a huge surge in the anxiety levels for many of our students. As we are fully aware of the resilience and confidence required for success,  our approach is sensitive and holistic, looking at your child as a whole. As the exams come in a range of formats, we are always prepared for the last minute changes that have taken place frequently over the last few years. We will support your journey throughout, up to and including the exam and beyond.
